PHOENIX (May 8, 2020) – Banner Health is honoring the sacrifices made by nurses and other frontline employees, with activities and advertisements during National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week.
Each year, National Nurses Week runs from May 6 to May 12, and National Hospital Week runs from May 10 to May 16. Both weeks are dedicated to honoring health care workers and their tireless commitments to their communities. In addition to celebrations at various hospitals, Banner Health is introducing an advertising campaign this week in print, social media and radio with the theme, “Thank You for Giving Us Hope.”
“We felt that we needed to not only honor what our selfless health care employees are doing at this time, but also thank them for the commitments and sacrifices they’re making,” said Alexandra Morehouse, chief marketing officer for Banner Health. “We asked people to send us notes and videos to honor our nurses and frontline employees. Within just a day, we received about 2,000 submissions.”
While National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week honor all health care employees, Morehouse said these professionals deserve year-round appreciation for making health care easier so life can be better.
“Patients, colleagues and people in our communities are coming together to show their love and support, and we’re privileged to be able to share these messages of hope and gratitude,” Morehouse said.
